Hat Lariat

• The old cowboy saying goes "it's the last thing you take off and the first thing that gets noticed"
• In 1865, John B Stetson designed the first cowboy hat - what started out as a joke, became a legend
• The original Stetson hat sold for $5
• The standard rope of the western pioneers was the rawhide lariat, made of buffalo or horsehide. Modern day cowboys use catch ropes constructed of the best quality long fiber hemp.
